Whether you're an experienced Yogi or Yogini or you're developing a practice, we can all beautifully practice together in one class.  One way to do that is with props.  Use the chairs, blocks, straps and bolsters (even the walls)!  Iyengar said, "prop is not only for the asana.  It should contribute to the position of the body which in turn can let the mind be calm and (the) state of "chitta vritti nirodha" be experienced.  Body is my first prop.  The body is a prop to the soul."

Using props helps you reach your best version of an asana (pose), while keeping you aligned and protected from injury.
